Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane insists that the club is in better shape this season after the closure of the transfer window. Whilst Spurs have lost a great deal of squad players during the window, they’ve arguably replaced them all (slowly, but eventually) by the transfer deadline as three new players were brought in on deadline day.
“I think we’ve got a stronger squad than last year,” Kane explained. “We’ve added in some great players who have fitted in straight away. So now we’re ready, we’ve got a lot of games – being in the Champions League against some tough opponents.”
The upcoming weeks and months will be challenging for Spurs as they get back into the rhythm of competing in four competitions. We will soon find out if Kane is correct about Tottenham having a better squad than they did last season as the season progresses.
